Bad Haiku Friday - The Christmas Poetry Jam Edition

Ho, ho, ho! It's time for the Christmas Bad Haiku Festival!

I've been feeling a little grinchy this week -- mostly due to non-Christmas related annoyances -- so it feels good to get my bad haiku on.

Oh Christmas Tree
The tree is alight
for moments, then a fuse blows.
Rob's fuse? Next to go.

Murphy's Christmas Law
Spent weeks searching for
the best gift for my son, then
he plays with the box

You know it's bad when
you douse it in hooch, light it,
and then take a taste

Inquiring Minds Want to Know

Santa, why are your

gifts wrapped in the same paper

that Mom and Dad use?

So Be Good for Goodness Sake

The Birds

Twelve days of Christmas?

Good thought, but hard on those with

No avian skills.

(inspired by last night's episode of "The Office")

That's all she wrote, my friends -- and I'm sure that's enough! They don't call them BAD haiku for nothin'.

Join in the fun over at Laura's, and have a happy weekend, my friends.

  2. I am wondering when my kids will notice the wrapping paper is the same as the paper I use for their cousins.
