I've been feeling a little grinchy this week -- mostly due to non-Christmas related annoyances -- so it feels good to get my bad haiku on.
Oh Christmas Tree
The tree is alight
for moments, then a fuse blows.
Rob's fuse? Next to go.
Murphy's Christmas Law
Spent weeks searching for
the best gift for my son, then
he plays with the box
You know it's bad when
you douse it in hooch, light it,
and then take a taste
Inquiring Minds Want to Know
Santa, why are your
gifts wrapped in the same paper
that Mom and Dad use?
So Be Good for Goodness Sake
Coal for the kids caught
Biting each other
In the Christmas card photo
The Birds
Twelve days of Christmas?
Good thought, but hard on those with
No avian skills.
(inspired by last night's episode of "The Office")
That's all she wrote, my friends -- and I'm sure that's enough! They don't call them BAD haiku for nothin'.
Join in the fun over at Laura's, and have a happy weekend, my friends.
Wow! You were inspired this week! I struggle with coming up with one! Very good!
ReplyDeleteI am wondering when my kids will notice the wrapping paper is the same as the paper I use for their cousins.
ReplyDeleteHil Ar I Ous
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I read the bird one, I was like HEY!!! The Office.
ReplyDeleteQuite clever my dear.
Oh these are all so wonderful! (or should I say "bad"? Which is more complimentary? That's what I mean!)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Aimee, and thanks for your continued prayers. :)
LOVE the first one and the second is oh! so true.
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with the blown fuse over the blown fuse.
ReplyDeleteGood job.
LOL! I don't know which one I like best! These are great!
