Compare and Contrast

I am enjoying your baby predictions, but WHOA NELLY, people! According to popular consensus I will be birthing a 2 month old.

I mean, I've had big babies in the past, so it's not out of the realm of possibility, but won't it just beat all if I have a tiny little baby after this huge belly? Then the ugly truth regarding my consumption of mass quantities of chocolate covered pretzels will be revealed.

Now I feel nervous about having a small baby . . . I am utterly ridiculous. Ignore me.

Anyway, do you remember all those school assignments where you had to compare and contrast two stories or events? I always got very bored with them, I don't know why, but I thought it would be fun to show you pictures of me ready to burst with the other children, for comparison.

Then I actually looked at the pictures and my project became distinctly less fun. I don't know if these pictures will help or hinder your guesses, but what the heck. I can be a good sport.

I have no picture of my belly with Francie since I was pregnant in the olden days of no digital camera, and I can't seem to find an actual photo to scan. She was 8 lbs 9oz, but I didn't look as big with her since that was WAY back when my abs and uterine wall actually cared.
Now they just throw in the towel right around 9 weeks.

Here I am one week before my due date with Fiver. If I knew that he was going to be two weeks late, therefore putting me three weeks away from having a baby, I might not have been smiling so much. He was 8 lbs 15oz.

Enjoy my shiny forehead and nose in this picture. This is me about a week before I had Sally, my biggest baby (9 lbs. 3 oz)

Here is just my belly a week before I had Bun. I remember directing Rob to only shoot the baby belly because I looked like crap on toast for that whole pregnancy. Bun was my smallest baby at 7lbs 12oz, but 3 weeks early.

So there you go -- more presentations of my pregnant belly than you could have ever possibly dreamed of wanting.

I'm feeling ready, my friends . . .

  1. Yay! I'm so excited too!! (maybe not as crazy excited as that woman at the movie theater, but still...)

I cannot wait for spring, because this year, it brings Easter, flowers, and oh yes! a new niece or nephew!!

  2. Cute! I must say, there was a big belly, there, with Sally. I'm gonna stick with my original guess, though...mostly cause I haven't a clue and my brain is too tired to come up with anything new.

Excited for you and so jealous that you always seem to carry all baby up front. I swear all three times with me it seemed like the baby was protruding from everywhere!
Good Luck- in my prayers for an easy and healthy delivery!

Love the pics, thanks for sharing. Think of how happy you'll be with your babe's size when you realize we all overguessed to make you feel good (ahem, but still keeping the original # in the pool...)

  7. Love the compare/contrast and am keeping my prayers up for this pregnancy to come to a close with happy, healthy mommy & baby!!
I am curious by nature and so I am wondering how you do the bedroom arrangements in your house? I really struggled with this since we have only 3 total bedrooms and now, 3 kids. How do you guys work it out?
