Weekend Update

I've been away from the computer more often than not this week, the last thing I posted was about bathroom habits, and when I finally got around to checking my email, I found out I won an award from the lovely Nadja Magdalena over at Patch O'Dirt Farm.

Maybe I should forsake the blog and put my nose to the grindstone more often.

Wait, that's crazy talk! Maybe I just need to lie down until the delirium passes . . .

Whew, better.

I've had about thirty posts running through my head this week, and no time or energy to write them out. Some of the topics include, but are not limited to:
  • how I need to do shoulder strengthening exercises with Bun now
  • soliciting some good tips for cleaning bathrooms with vinegar
  • my love note from the Vermont Country Store - and a giveaway
  • how my BABY will turn one next weekend!
  • an open letter to celebrities who bug me
  • how Rob and I have been quoting Kung Fu Panda to each other all week ("There is no charge for awesomeness.")

But instead of all that, I will just accept my award gratefully (and promptly!) from Nadja Magdalena, and I will pass the torch to some of my favorite blogs.

This award is officially called The Love Ya Award, and here's why:

"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be
friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when
the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated.
Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight
bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into
the body of their award.”

Is that nice, or what?

Well, I think it's very nice, and although I have a very hard time narrowing down blog awards because I'm a people pleaser and I love all the blogs I read and I don't want anyone to feel left out and PICK PEOPLE ALREADY, I'm passing this on to these eight blogs:

Praying for Grace

Nothing, Really

Catholic Teacher Musings

One More Equals Four

As Many As We're Given

T with Honey

RC Mommy

These ladies have been good to me in both blog life and real life, and to that I'd like to say:

Love Ya!

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. Thank rock.

  2. Aww, thanks! And you can count on me for vinegar cleaning tips anytime - I am the vinegar queen. My husband hates the smell but begrudgingly admits that it works. I am very sensitive to the smell of cleaners - bleach and almost everything else, so I have a whole section in my household notebook devoted to alternatives. Vinegar might not be the most pleasant smell in the world, but it's a lot easier to stomach in a small bathroom than tilex or something similar. I'll work up something for you once I'm home. Thanks again! You're a sweetie!

  3. I have been reading some of your older posts lately and I am more than ever convinced that you deserved this award...and a few more! You have me in stitches...

    Don't you dare quit writing!

  4. I want to hear (er, read) the post on celebs who bug you...

  5. Aww, how sweet! Thank you :) And right back at you :)

  6. Wow, I myself have barely been near the computer in a week and was soooo excited to see this! Thanks bunches...the only problem is I would have given it to who cna I send it on to?

  7. Thanks Aimee! I have no suggestions on cleaning with vinegar. And not because I don't clean my bathrooms enough to have suggestions. Ahem.

I will gladly pass this award along, especially because I have no blog topics for today anyway. You are one sweet lady and even though we have not met in real life I am sure that we would totally be friends without the internet connection. :)

  8. I can't believe I just noticed that you gave me an award! Geezum, what kind of friend am am?

    Love ya', too!!
    *kiss, kiss*

Go ahead and say it. You know you want to.
