Way Back When-esday

Today has been a day.

You know the kind, so I will spare you the details and simply tell you that we have been at the doctor's office and two pharmacies (one just isn't enough these days). We now have seven bottles of medicine that we didn't have twelve hours ago.

Like I said, it's been a day.

Because of the exhaustion induced by the aforementioned stops, I have nothing to say, except that I'm joining in this week's Way Back When-esday over at Twinfatuation.

When: Late autumn 2000
Who: Me and Francie, 16 months

This is my Francie of the enormous eyes and rosebud lips. She still looks like this; her eyes are like dinner plates and her mouth is still tiny, but she has lost the baby roundness to her cheeks. Turning nine will do that to a girl, I guess.

From the day she was born, Francie has been going and doing and thinking and just humming with life. She has spent most of her time with the attitude of "see you later, Mom. Don't let the door hit you on the way out." It's not that she's not affectionate, but as a baby she was too busy for cuddling. It's nice to know that I have photographic evidence of a snuggle.

  7. What a tender photo...I hope you have it hanging somewhere.

As the boys get older I love pulling out their baby photos...it reminds me that, no matter how cranky they can be sometimes, they all started out as cute and cuddly babies.

I hope good health is on the way!

  8. I love the picture! My older son was that way, and still is to some extent. He's just not a cuddler. The Little Man is my cuddler :)
