Bad Haiku Friday

I am flat wore out.

The kids had their big school fundraiser today - The Race for Education. It is usually fun, except when you get stuck racing for your education in the cold rain like we did this year.

Thankfully, I am still in the middle of my antibiotics so I don't have to worry too much about getting sick from being outside all day.

(I know you can't technically catch anything just by being out in the rain, but don't you think that the dampness makes you more . . . shivery?)

On the bright side, I did come home, put the little kids in bed, put the big kids in front of a movie, and promptly went to sleep. It was everything I dreamed it would be.

And since it's Friday, here's my bad haiku, courtesy of Laura, the source of the Bad Haiku tradition:

I'm already educated
There's no need for me to be
Running in the rain.

Raindrops keep falling
On my head, but I love my
kids, so out I go.

That was really bad. I think it calls for another nap.

Have a great weekend, my friends!

  1. You write some GOOD...BAD HAIKU!
I've been absent too which is why I wouldn't know that you've been absent.
I am very into no-pressure blogging these days.
    Much more freeing.

  2. We did not have to run in the rain today. But, after early dismissal, we did put all kids to bed and everyone took a nap. It was GLORIOUS!

  3. Wow, that is some great bad haiku! You should write a book or something, that is...after you wake up!
