Cupcakes!

Thank you all so much for participating in my bloggiversary giveaway! I loved all the answers, and many of them were similar to the ones in my mind.

For the record, I would have to train for some type of swimming event. There is just too much sweating in all of the other sports. At least if you sweat while you swim you are already wet so maybe no one will notice.

Of course, they would notice me dry heaving on the side of the pool if I didn't cramp up and drown before the race was finished. Not everyone is cut out to be an Olympian.

As for my favorite part of the summer, that would have to be our family beach trip to North Carolina. Watching the sun rise over the ocean is an unparalleled wonder. The splendor got me every time.

And now for the part that you are waiting for: the winner of Hello Cupcake.

I got ambitious and decided to put everyone's name in a bowl and let the birthday boy pick the winner. I wanted to take his picture holding the name he chose, but I cannot find the camera. You'll just have to take my word on it, I guess. (Note: Rob would like me to divulge the fact that this process was rigged, as I did not put his name into the bowl even though he left a comment. He feels this is an egregious error in voting practices. I told him to suck it up because I'll let him read my copy.)

The winner is: Nicole of As Many As We're Given! Nicole is mom to five cute kids, so there are many opportunities for cupcake frivolity in her house. Plus, she just celebrated a birthday herself, so this win is very timely. Congratulations, Nicole, and I will contact you for your mailing information.

And now I must run back to the kitchen where I am hip deep in cupcakes. Inconvenient, but delicious.

  1. Yea! I didn't think I would win, because I hardly ever win things I really want. My kids will be so excited (and me too). Maybe this will kick-start a new hobby, although I will have to give away the results to neighbors. Thanks for hosting the giveaway.
