I am home, but Bun remains in the NICU. Since I'm sitting here next to his empty bassinet and trying not to lose it, I'll just leave you with a couple pictures of our new little boy. When I can string more than two words together, I'll post about the odyssey that was his birth. Thanks for all of your kind and encouraging words and prayers; they are a balm to us right now.
He is precious!! I'll be praying for you and for Bun to come home quickly. I wanted to share this verse with you. It always gives me comfort when things are out of my control (who am I kidding - it's all out of my control). Just knowing that God knows everything before we're even born gives me a lot of comfort. It's from Psalm 139:
ReplyDelete15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
First, congratulations. He is utterly gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteMy first son was born early and spent a month in the NICU. I can't tell you how hard it was to leave the hospital without him. My arms, my heart ached. I'm sure you know. Even when you know it eventually will be fine, this is only a bump in the road, it still is not what you expected, and it is so hard not to be able to hold and protect your son.
Saying lots of prayers that his stay is short and he's home before you know it.
What a dear little blessing that boy is. Congrats all over again! He'll be home before you know it, and you need to get some rest while you can.
ReplyDeleteCongratulation on the birth of your son! You are a GREAT mother.
ReplyDeleteI am T's Mother and you know me.
T was left in the hospital day by herself when I went home. Lucky she come home the next day. Timing was perfect when she was discharged. After we picked her up and before we went home, we attended Mass at ICC.
Even though I knew she was fine, the wait was very hard.
Bun is fine and will be home soon.
He is beautiful. I am so proud to have know you since you were very young.
Enjoy him and your other blessing!
May God bless you and your entire family
Love,
T's Mom
