Even with all the scurrying of party prep and getting all the kids to church on time, it was a really beautiful day. About as perfect as a day can get this side of heaven.
And I love that Fiver now numbers his reception of the holy Eucharist. Today at Mass, he said "now I've had my second holy communion."
I pray you have hundreds and hundreds, my boy.
Awesome photo. Awesome kid. Happy day!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Fiver!! My son, Peter, celebrated his first Holy Communion as well. It was a great day!
ReplyDeleteAmen, dear boy! Happy, happy First (and second) Holy Communion.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful day! He is such a handsome little man! I have a thing for kids with glasses...so endearing!
ReplyDeleteDid you cry? My neice had hers, and I couldn't stop crying. Next week's is our oldest's 1st Communion, and I'm sure to be a basketcase. I can't even blame the pregnancy hormones...I would be like that no matter my state :)
Congratulations, Fiver! I hope that the joy of your first (and second) Holy Communion continues with each one that you are so blessed to receive.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to that sweet young man! I counted my first handful of communions too. What a special time of innocence and pure faith.
