Under The Weather

It's been raining (off and on) for several days now, and all this soft weather has me wanting to crawl under the covers and do nothing.

The sinus pressure induced migraine last night did nothing to help that situation.

All I wanted to do last night was relax and catch up on my blog reading, but instead I found myself wondering if driving an ice pick through my frontal lobe would hurt as much as the migraine. I really don't think it would.

So I didn't get to read any good blogs (like yours!), and I didn't post anything here for the four hundredth day in a row. Why do you even come back here, my friends? The last thing I talked about was exploding spiders, for goodness sake!

And now it's Monday, and we're back to the school grind (Swine Flu be darned!), and because I just finished making second breakfast for Sally and Bun, it still seems like my hobbit children want to eat every 7.3 seconds (approximately -- sometimes they can make it upwards of 30 seconds without asking for food), and I am no farther along on my weekend plans than I was on Friday.

That was the longest prepositionally-started run-on sentence I've ever written. Sigh.

I blame it on the weather. Where's the ibuprofen?

  1. I totally hear you. I'm so not motivated to do anything...and I, too, blame it all on the weather.

I am one big blobb of inflammation with all of the aches and pains,too....blah,blah. I blamed it on fat and age but I supppose we can throw in the weather as well...Everything hurts all the time and I am tired of hearing the voice in my head complain about it! I need a dose of my "angels" to make me feel better. I'll see them soon...

  3. I live with hobbits as well. Buddy actually calls it second breakfast, even though he has not been exposed to the joy of LOTR. I can't keep up with their unending demands for food. All of my kids are home this week, as our district closed due to the flu. So frustrating!

  4. Sinus pain is miserable. Throw children into the mix and it's downright unbearable. And I'm sure your loyal readers will keep coming back no matter how infrequently you post. :-) Feel better.

  5. I am so sorry---there is NOTHING worse than a migraine. You take care of yourself and we will be here when you get back! Hope you feel better soon!

  7. I come back here because I have a feeling that you ARE who you say you are.
I love that you are real.
I am sorry your sinuses are bothering you.
My usually do but the nasal rinses are working for me.
The doctor said they worked wonders for her too.

  8. The weather does, indeed, suck. All I want to do is yard work. Is it too much to ask to put in a pond to enjoy this summer? And yet Nature mocks me and makes ponds all over the yard, while preventing me from making one. I'm beginning to not like Her very much.

  9. I'm actually on the internet simply in order to find out when the next nice day is going to be because I'm so dead to the world because of the clouds and rain. CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE. At least I'm distracted from it by your wonderful blog.
