Just A Song (or two) Before We Go

We are closing up shop for a few days here at The HomeFront Corp.

The Board of Trustees is still in session, but we've noticed a marked downturn in employee productivity. We think the help has been hitting the cookies. Hard. And they have very little to show for their work, besides crumbs and high blood sugar.

In light of the Christmas holiday, we've given them a very generous vacation package, one in which their annual toy benefits will surely be realized.

But before we go, I'll share a few vignettes of what Christmas at The HomeFront is really like.

Sometimes it's heavenly:

Francie, playing Carol of the Bells

Sometimes it's completely secular:

Fiver, singing The Chipmunks Christmas song

And sometimes, it is downright real.

I find Sally's command to BE QUI-DIT! (be quiet) quite "real".

Fiver and Francie hear it about ten times a day. And, no, I have no idea where she learned that.

(Please ignore my strident command of "Go" at the beginning. Francie wanted me to let her know when to start, and I am nothing if not efficient and stentorian.)

Merry Christmas, my friends. May your homes and hearts be full of joy and peace.

  1. I love it! Of course, we know I am a little emotional today, but Fiver was so cute. Even I was proud! And Sally saying be qui-dit! Oh, my heart! Have an amazing holiday!
