It's time to get my bad poetry on, my friends.
I have been invited to participate in Bad Haiku Friday, hosted by Laura at Catholic Teacher Musings, and I am all in. You know how we do it here at The HomeFront.
For those who may have forgotten (or blocked) all of their high school poetry studies (cinquain anyone?), a haiku is a poem with three lines, each line containing five syllables, seven syllables, and five syllables respectively.
A good haiku is hard, but anyone who can count can do a bad one. Plus, I got Rob on board because that man loves a challenge. Pretty soon, we'll be sitting around in black turtlenecks and berets and snapping to show our approval.
Here we go!
Aimee's Bad Haiku:
When the diaper ad
Says it "holds up to ten pounds",
They're right. Don't push it.
Rob's Bad Haiku:
I wonder if the
Inventor of the haiku
Ever ran out of
That's what we came up with, and we hope they are so bad they're good!
If you want to play along, think up a bad haiku and leave a comment at Laura's place to let her know you're in.
Good stuff...I came,I read, I laughed.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing.
Wow...these were really funny. I'm with Rob, though, in that I always run out of lines and syllables.
ReplyDeleteBlessings.
Hysterical!

Really good interjection of laughs --- thanks guys!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I can think of some bad haikus before midnight? Maybe one?
But I am definitely "in" for next Friday!
AHAHAHA! We all laughed at both of these! Too fun!
ReplyDeleteYou and husband both are winners.
ReplyDeleteCheck it out.
You're going to have to post the ones from your whiteboard that didn't make the cut. Those were good too. :)
